Join Axpo and support our Group Risk team by leveraging your advanced quantitative skills to shape strategic risk monitoring and modelling. Contribute to high-impact projects and help us integrate cutting-edge tools across finance functions.
What you will do
- Own and develop models and related interfaces for Axpo’s Group Risk and finance functions
- Provide independent assessment of risk factors in strategic deals
- Act as a key liaison between Group Risk and front divisions
- Define IT landscape and data flows in collaboration with Group IT
- Guide and support junior quantitative risk analysts
- Ensure consistency in financial risk models across Axpo
- Co-own Market Risk sections of Board-level risk reports
- Actively participate in exploring and implementing GenAI and ML tools
What you bring & who you are
- Higher education degree in a quantitative field. Relevant certification (e.g. FRM, CFA preferred)
- 5+ years experience, ideally with energy market exposure
- Proficient in Python and dashboarding frameworks (e.g., Panel, Streamlit)
- Knowledge of relational database design along with cloud environments (e.g. Azure)
- Team-oriented, self-driven and strong critical thinker
- Fluent in English with the ability to communicate across all levels
