Axpo Polska also provides services to more than 25,000 companies from the small and medium-sized enterprises segment and, since April 2020, it has only been offering energy with a certified origin from renewable energy sources. While supporting energy transition in Poland, the Company also implements large-scale photovoltaic projects.
Currently we are looking for: Regulatory Risk Analyst
Your Responsibilities:
- Monitor trading activity daily, analyze market abuse alarms, and enhance surveillance functionalities in collaboration with IT and software vendors.
- Develop and maintain interfaces for transaction reporting and surveillance systems.
- Implement and maintain REMIT and EMIR transaction reporting, while designing and managing database queries and Power BI reports.
- Detect deficiencies in trade data using advanced queries and set up controls to identify fraudulent or abusive practices.
- Create and improve trade surveillance reports, including support for Axpo US operations.
- Perform ad-hoc reconciliations of data and reports for RFIs and other requests.
- Provide insights for business optimization by designing database queries and creating performance-boosting reports.
- Support the transaction reporting team in Sofia and manage CEREMP registration processes.
- Draft and update audit-proof documentation of regulatory processes and guidelines.
- Support the Compliance Management Tool and collaborate with industry associations, regulatory bodies, and internal stakeholders to ensure compliance and share best practices.
Our Requirements:
- Degree in financial IT, finance, economics, or a related field.
- Ideally 3 years of experience in an energy firm or consultancy in the energy sector (minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience preferred).
- Strong quantitative background, ideally in risk or back-office functions.
- Advanced IT skills, including SQL and Power BI; coding expertise in Python or R is a strong advantage.
- Knowledge of ETRM systems, trade surveillance, and regulatory frameworks such as EMIR and REMIT is highly desirable.
- Experience working at an energy regulator, exchange, or similar institution is a plus.
- Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal); Polish is a bonus.
- Analytical mindset, problem-solving skills, and a proactive, solution-focused attitude.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build lasting relationships.
