As a Data Analyst, you’ll play a key role in strengthening our data analytics capabilities, supporting digitalisation efforts, and contributing to risk assessments. This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in internal auditing while working with data-driven insights and interacting with diverse stakeholders across the energy business.

What you will do:
Collaborate with auditors to generate data-driven insights for internal audit activities.
Develop data analytics capabilities by setting up tools, processes, and frameworks for data-driven auditing.
Promote data utilization across the audit value chain, from risk assessment to audit execution and monitoring.
Extract, transform, and analyze datasets to identify patterns, anomalies, and control weaknesses.
Create visual dashboards and reports to support audit risk assessments, findings, and recommendations.
Design methodologies and tools for data-related audit processes.
Build business relationships with stakeholders across Axpo Group while developing your knowledge and business awareness.
What you bring & who you are:
Education/experience :
A degree (completed or ongoing) in Business Analytics, Data Science, Software Engineering, Statistics, or equivalent
2–3 years of experience in Data Analytics, ideally working in Internal Audit or Internal Controls
Technical Skills:
Strong analytical skills, including experience in data extraction, cleaning, and visualization.
Proficiency in SQL, Python, R, Power BI, Databricks, or equivalent tools.
Knowledge of internal audit, internal controls, risk management and data governance
Understanding of financial or trading applications (preferred but not required).
Personal Skills:
Exceptional interpersonal skills with empathy and assertiveness.
A proactive mindset with ownership and perseverance to deliver quality work.
Driven to build professional connections and navigate ambiguity.
Languages:
Fluent written and spoken English.
Fluent spoken German is a significant advantage.
Other languages, such as French or Spanish, are welcomed.
