What you will do:

• Support and develop the operational risk management framework, policies, methodologies, and tools.

• Lead operational risk assessment workshops and deep dives, from planning to reporting.

• Advise stakeholders at all management levels on operational risk identification, assessment, control/mitigation, and monitoring.

• Identify, assess, mitigate, monitor, and report operational risks for material transactions, business cases, projects, and new products.

• Lead root cause analysis for operational risk events, align corrective measures with stakeholders and report lessons learnt

• Strengthen the internal control system and operational risk culture across the business area.

• Build and analyze operational risk data to identify trends and escalate issues where needed.

• Build mutual trusted relationships with all stakeholders

• Coach and mentor less experienced team members on operational risk matters.

What you bring & who you are:

• You hold a University Degree in Business Administration, Finance, or other related fields; further education in Energy Economics, Operational Risk Management, Internal Audit or similar is an advantage

• You possess strong knowledge of operational risk management practices and of the internal control system

• You are a thorough and diligent worker, who has strong organizational and prioritization skills and thrives in a dynamic multi-national environment

• You are able to foster effective communication with stakeholders on all levels and build mutually trusted relationships

• You have proven experience in energy trading, energy markets, and related processes and controls.

• You have experience in data analytics and visualization skills, knowledge of operational risk management practices.

• You are a team player with excellent problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills.

• You have excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish; additional languages are a plus.
