Currently we are looking for: International Analytics & Strategy Trainee

Your responsibilities – Throughout the entire traineeship, you will be responsible for the following (depending on your assigned rotation):

• Generating regular balancing cost reports, conducting deeper analytical dives into this topic, improvements of the related reporting framework.
• Supporting the team in the area of asset optimization, related analytical reporting, IT orchestration of data flows, short-term market price forecasting, and long-term pricing models.
• Developing a hedging model to be used for long-term portfolio optimization.
• Participating in day-to-day business monitoring with SME analysts.
• Overseeing data flow between internal systems. 
• Creating Power BI reports for business analysis.
• Conducting market and operational analyses, including efficiency evaluations and recommendations for the Axpo Polska Management Team.
• Mapping and analyzing processes for improvements.
• Supporting planning and goal harmonization within the OKR approach.

Our requirements:

• Quantitative background in science, technology, engineering, mathematics, or economics. Specialization in the energy market is a plus.
• Entrepreneurial mindset, strong organizational skills, and a continuous drive for improvement.
• Experience in data analysis, visualization, and programming (preferably in R and/or Python). First career experiences in data analysis, especially in the energy market, is highly valued.
• Strong interpersonal skills, ability to build relationships and explain complex problems clearly.
• Proactive attitude and a strong sense of responsibility.
• Proficiency in Polish and English (minimum B2 level).

The traineeship begins on April 1st, 2025, and runs for 18 months, with the potential for a permanent position upon completion.
