This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on system migrations to the cloud, manage VMware SAN storage, and ensure seamless data backup. What you will do:
- Develop and operate Linux (SLES / Ubuntu) systems.
- Manage VMware SAN storage and data backup systems.
- Plan and execute system migrations from on-premise to cloud (Azure).
- Support stakeholders in evaluating and implementing requirements.
- Optimize and enhance system efficiency within Axpo.
- Provide technical support in developing and updating ICT architectures.
What you bring & who you are:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science with extensive experience in Linux storage and data backup.
- Proficiency in working in agile teams.
- In-depth knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, GitHub).
- Expertise in Linux servers, container, and cloud platforms.
- Experience with server environments like VMware, Azure Arc, or Azure Stack HCI.
- Strong understanding of IT operations, system engineering, and security services.
- Excellent communication skills in English and good German skills.
