In the Data Integration department, we use Azure services and MuleSoft as strategic integration platform to provide data integration solutions based on REST APIs and Azure SQL stack for many interesting projects. You are responsible for successfully implementing our API-first strategy in delivering cutting-edge integration solutions.
What you will do:
- Join an international team of experienced software engineers specializing in backend development and integrating applications using MuleSoft, Azure services and REST APIs.
- Analyze business requirements, collaborate with engineers and architects to deliver REST API based and event-driven integration solutions, setting benchmarks for reusability and extensibility.
- Design and implement integrations and APIs using your extensive experience in API development, data architecture and event-driven architecture.
- You adhere to our integration strategy, design principles, development guidelines and review processes and take part in their evolution to ensure first-class quality.
- Proactively monitor the integration platform, troubleshoot, resolve, and report issues to impacted teams and stakeholders.
- Participate in architecture workshops, code reviews, design reviews and other team activities to ensure clean architecture, code quality and ease of maintainability.
What you bring & who you are:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or a related field.
- Proven experience in software development with a solid background of 5+ years in back-end programming languages (Java, C#, Python), understanding of computing science fundamentals: concurrency, algorithms, data modelling, design patterns, etc.
- Successful development of microservices, consumable via RESTful HTTP + JSON, experience with Azure cloud services and CI/CD (Azure DevOps) including package managers like Maven or Gradle.
- Very good knowledge in Java, C# or Python, solid experience in EDA using Azure Event Hubs, Kafka.
- Experience working in agile software delivery teams with a track record of delivering high-quality software quickly and efficiently, utilizing high-frequency delivery and automated quality assurance.
- Experience in any middleware (Apigee, webMethods, MuleSoft, TIBCO, Boomi) is a plus.
- Fluent in English; German is a plus.
