Take an active role in shaping the future of energy! As a Portfolio Manager, you will oversee trading strategies, customer portfolio management, and innovative solutions for the power and gas markets in Austria, the Czech Republic, and Slovakia.
What you will do:
50% Portfolio Management
- Manage portfolios and handle the routing of fixation requests to ensure mid-term market access
- Develop hedging strategies for Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) and full-supply contracts
- Analyze country spreads, time spreads, volume risks, and pricing for contracts
- Understand fundamental market drivers to optimize portfolio management
20% Information Collection & PnL Tracking
- Support originators by coordinating transactions with Trading, Risk, and Back Office teams
- Use or develop tools for position checks, PnL explanations, and price risk management
- Ensure PnL quality by tracking daily developments and verifying contract bookings
30% New Ventures
- Engage in intraday trading to improve profitability of full-supply and PPA contracts
- Collaborate with the Balancing team to optimize balancing costs
- Support the Battery Optimization team in closing new contracts
- Participate in the ancillary services market and exchange best practices with teams in other regions
What you bring & who you are:
- At least 3 years of experience in spot or intraday trading
or - At least 2 years of experience in back or mid-office roles, ideally with the ETRM system Endur
or - At least 3 years of experience in data management or business analysis
- Strong knowledge of energy markets and their mechanisms
- Excellent analytical and communication skills
- A proactive, team-oriented mindset with a drive for innovation
