Join Axpo U.S. LLC as a Retail Operations Analyst and be a part of our dynamic team. With a focus on the US retail power market, as well as electricity, renewables and gas markets, you will verify the accurate representation of our transactions and positions, support transaction life cycles, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our Operations processes.
What you will do:
Support the Director of Operations in managing the transaction our retail power business, as well as with other product life cycles, including confirmation, invoicing, and settlement of OTC transactions.
Liaise with the Power and Gas Scheduling Teams
Ensure proper regulatory reporting of OTC transactions.
Reconcile futures transactions and positions, as well as ISO invoices.
Provide operational requirements for testing and implementing new products and trading system enhancements.
Review complex transactions
Maintain reference data for counterparties, exchanges, FCMs, and brokers.
Challenge existing Operations processes by suggesting improvements to reduce operational risk and enhance workflows.
Collaborate closely with various departments within Axpo US.
What you bring & who you are:
University degree with top grades, preferably in a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in the operations department of a trading and sales business within the commodities services industry, preferably energy. Experience in supporting retail power is required.
Knowledge of commodities markets, including retail energy and products traded (Futures, Forwards, Swaps, Options, Load, FTRs).
Experience in confirmations, invoicing/settlements, transactional regulatory reporting, and ISO invoice reconciliations.
Strong skills in testing trading system rollouts and enhancements.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to act as a bridge between traders, quants, and tech teams.
Strong analytical skills, with the ability to quickly solve problems and propose innovative solutions.
Ability to anticipate potential risks and identify control gaps, proposing solutions to mitigate such risks.

Salary Range*: 142.000 USD - 232.000 USD
*The actual total compensation offered will be determined based on a variety of factors, including the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and relevant experience.
