What you will do:

• Act as the IT Application Owner for HR applications: ensure smooth operation, administration and continuous optimization.

• Take full ownership of application evaluation, upgrade and release planning with a strong focus on integrations, identity management, and technical quality.

• Own SaaS and on-premise application lifecycle activities such as onboarding, changes, upgrades, and decommissioning.

• Analyze and implement business requirements by translating them into technical documentation, including interfaces, data flows, and dependencies with surrounding systems.

• Design, document, and maintain application interfaces (e.g. file-based, API, REST, SCIM).

• Secure application synchronization with IAM, integration, and data analytics teams.

• Collaborate with IAM teams on user provisioning, role/access concepts, authentication, authorization, and Single Sign-On (SAML/OIDC).

• Review, adjust, and validate configuration and data files for system uploads and integrations.

• Coordinate incident resolution, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement with vendors and IT teams.

• Ensure compliance with IT governance, security, and audit requirements.

• Troubleshoot incidents, perform root cause analysis and resolve issues hands-on: coordinate with internal teams and external suppliers for 3rd-level support.

What you bring & who you are:

• 4+ years of experience as an IT Application Owner, or similar role in an enterprise IT environment.

• Strong technical affinity with hands-on experience in SaaS applications, integrations, and cloud-based systems.

• Solid understanding of Identity & Access Management concepts (user lifecycle, provisioning, SSO, roles, authentication).

• Experience working with interfaces, APIs, file-based integrations, and basic data formats (e.g. CSV, XML, JSON).

• Ability to analyze technical issues independently and collaborate effectively with IAM, integration, and infrastructure teams.

• Familiarity with IT service management and governance frameworks (e.g. ITIL).

• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, bridging business and technical audiences.

• Experience in IT HR landscapes is a strong advantage.

• Fluent in English; German is a plus.

What this role is not:

• This role is not a Product Owner: it requires hands-on technical understanding of applications, integrations, and identity management topics.

• This role is not a software developer: while technical analysis and configuration understanding are required, coding and software development are not the primary responsibilities.

• This role is not a first-level support or helpdesk function: operational support is coordinated, not executed on a day-to-day basis.

• This role is not isolated from IAM or platform teams: close collaboration with Identity & Access Management, integration, developers, and security teams is an integral part of the position.
