SME Operations Manager (f/m/d)
Axpo has been operating in the Polish market for over 20 years now. It employs about 260 people and is one of the largest independent offtakers of green energy. Customers in Poland benefit from tailor-made offers for the purchase and supply of energy and gas based on structured and long-term contracts. Axpo Polska also provides services to more than 25,000 companies from the small and medium-sized enterprises segment and, since April 2020, it has only been offering energy with a certified origin from renewable energy sources. While supporting energy transition in Poland, the Company also implements large-scale photovoltaic projects.
We are currently looking for an SME Operations Manager to lead our SME Operations teams in driving automation, optimizing processes, and fostering a culture of ownership and continuous improvement. The role is instrumental in delivering operational excellence, promoting innovation, and ensuring the seamless integration of processes across the SME business at Axpo Polska. This position requires a strong combination of leadership, strategic thinking, operational expertise, and a passion for developing high-performing teams while building effective cross-functional collaboration.
What you will do:
Lead and develop the Billing, Verification, Switching, Resignations, and Complaints teams within SME Operations, fostering a high-performance culture and supporting employee growth through coaching, training, career development, and competency building.
Drive OKR planning and execution in alignment with the Digital and SME strategy, ensuring effective prioritization, delivery, and operational excellence.
Lead and co-drive major IT implementation and transformation projects in close collaboration with IT, Sales Automation, and Project Management teams, leveraging agile methodologies such as SCRUM and tools including JIRA.
Establish, standardize, and monitor operational KPIs, reporting frameworks, and performance metrics, driving data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement initiatives across SME Operations.
Own the Operations budget and workforce planning, including headcount management, cost control, and vendor relationship management to ensure efficient resource allocation and operational effectiveness.
What you bring & who you are:
Proven experience as an Operations Manager overseeing high-volume, process-driven operations, preferably within the Polish energy and gas sector or a related industry.
Strong expertise in project management, including the successful delivery of complex business transformation and IT implementation projects; experience in operational excellence initiatives is an advantage.
Hands-on experience working with large-scale, interconnected IT systems, such as CRM, billing, and workflow management platforms.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and translate insights into effective business actions.
Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills, with a proven ability to influence, build consensus, and collaborate effectively across functions and levels of the organization.
Fluency in Polish and English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills in both languages.
