Join Axpo Energia Portugal and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of energy. As a Key Account Manager, you’ll drive growth by managing major accounts and building strong partnerships with industrial clients and energy consultants.
What you will do:
Lead direct sales efforts for electricity and gas contracts with high-consumption industrial clients.
Build and expand partnerships with top energy consultants to secure new business opportunities.
Prospect, identify, and close deals with industrial companies while ensuring profitability.
Negotiate and structure complex contracts (fixed, indexed, flexible, PPAs, multiclick) to defend margins.
Provide clients and consultants with market insights, risk management advice, and tailored proposals.
Collaborate with internal teams (Pricing, Risk, Operations, Legal) to deliver competitive offers and seamless execution.
Represent Axpo in industry forums, enhancing brand visibility in Portugal.
Maintain accurate records of client interactions, sales performance, and pipeline management using CRM tools.
What you bring & who you are:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, or related field (Master’s in Energy Markets or MBA is a plus).
Proficiency in data analysis, MS Excel/Power BI, and CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce).
Deep knowledge of electricity markets in Portugal, including regulatory frameworks and pricing mechanisms.
Proven expertise in direct sales and consultant channel management with an active portfolio.
Advanced negotiation and closing skills in complex B2B environments.
Strong analytical skills for evaluating client consumption, risk exposure, and profitability.
Languages: Spanish and Portuguese; other European languages (English) are a plus.
