Join Axpo Solar/Urbasolar in Italy to accelerate the energy transition. You’ll shape grid connections for utility-scale PV plants, work across Europe, and collaborate with diverse experts who value innovation, teamwork, and impact.
What you will do:
Develop grid connection strategies during project origination phases.
Identify, assess, and prioritize feasible connection points, performing capacity screenings and grid studies.
Prepare and manage interconnection applications (TICA/STMG), ensuring compliance with Italian grid codes.
Analyze grid restrictions and propose optimized technical solutions.
Build and maintain strong relationships with Italian DSOs and Terna, negotiating technical and commercial conditions.
Optimize grid connection costs, prepare budget estimations, and support financial assessments.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Development, Technical, Finance, Legal, Procurement) to align technical, commercial, and regulatory constraints.
Facilitate the transition from Ready-to-Build (RtB) to COD, ensuring smooth handover to construction teams.
What you bring & who you are:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, preferably Electrical.
5–8 years of experience in renewable energy interconnection, with deep knowledge of Italian grid codes and regulations.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to optimize technical and financial solutions.
Excellent communication and relationship management skills, especially with DSOs/TSOs.
Proficiency in Italian and English; Spanish is a plus.
Willingness to travel across Italy as required.
Ideally, experience with utility-scale solar PV projects and familiarity with interconnection processes.
