What you will do:

• Analyze and monitor Spanish and Portuguese power markets (day-ahead, intraday, balancing) to identify value opportunities
• Design, implement, and maintain battery optimization models (arbitrage, balancing participation, revenue stacking) with technical constraints (SoC, power/energy, degradation, efficiency, cycles)
• Define and execute bidding strategies for batteries and other assets, including backtesting, simulations, and sensitivity analysis
• Collaborate with trading/origination, engineering, and data teams to deploy robust, automated strategies into production
• Document methodologies, assumptions, and results; define KPIs and track strategy performance

What you bring & who you are:

• Must-have: University degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field
• Must-have: Programming skills in Python (pandas, numpy) and experience with databases/SQL
• Must-have: Advanced Excel skills; experience with Excel macros (VBA)
• Must-have: Basic knowledge of Spanish and Portuguese power markets and balancing services; Spanish language proficiency
• Ideally: Experience with Snowflake; knowledge of price/demand forecasting and battery degradation metrics; Portuguese and English language skills
