Join Axpo as a Senior Data Warehouse Engineer and play a key role in shaping the future of business intelligence and risk management in energy trading. You’ll work at the interface of technology and business, supporting critical data and reporting platforms.

What you will do:

• Support the Head of ETRM Risk & Regulatory by managing initiatives and driving BI innovation in market and credit risk, MDM, and regulatory reporting.
• Deliver end-to-end solutions across the development lifecycle, from requirements to deployment.
• Ensure quality assurance (QA) and contribute to design authority by providing best-practice guidance and conducting reviews.
• Manage and coordinate BI application development, enhancement, and documentation.
• Provide multi-level application support and engage with internal and external stakeholders.
• Promote adherence to IT Service Management (ITSM) and quality standards while fostering clear communication structures.

What you bring & who you are:

• Degree in information science, engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Strong expertise in the Microsoft BI stack, including:
• MS SQL Server & Azure SQL Data Warehouse.
• Dataflow processes: MS SSIS & Azure Data Factory.
• MS Cubes: SSAS Tabular & DAX.
• SQL tuning & Power BI backend development.
• Familiarity with Azure cloud services (e.g., Azure Data Lake, Azure Blob Storage) is a plus.
• Knowledge of programming languages like .NET, C#, and experience with API integrations.
• Nice to have Databricks knowledge.
• Team-oriented with strong analytical and conceptual thinking skills.
• Ownership mindset and ability to work independently while guiding others in a structured, goal-driven manner.
• Fluent in English; German is a plus.
