Customers in Poland benefit from tailor-made offers for the purchase and supply of energy and gas based on structured and long-term contracts. Axpo Polska also provides services to more than 25,000 companies from the small and medium-sized enterprises segment and, since April 2020, it has only been offering energy with a certified origin from renewable energy sources. While supporting energy transition in Poland, the Company also implements large-scale photovoltaic projects.
Currently we are looking for: IT Controls Specialist
Your responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain IT control frameworks aligned with industry standards (e.g., COBIT).
- Conduct risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities, inefficiencies, and potential threats to IT systems.
- Design, test, and monitor IT General Controls (ITGCs) and application controls to ensure their effectiveness and compliance.
- Collaborate with internal and external auditors during IT control assessments and audits.
- Support IT and business teams in remediating control deficiencies and recommending improvements.
- Maintain clear and up-to-date documentation of IT controls, risk assessments, and audit findings.
- Provide training and guidance on IT compliance, control frameworks, and best practices.
- Stay informed about evolving cybersecurity threats, regulatory changes, and industry standards.
- Support the development of IT policies, procedures, and security guidelines.
- Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations, including GDPR.
Our requirements:
- Master’s degree in Technology, Cybersecurity, Economics, Finance, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in IT controls, IT audit, or IT risk management.
- Strong knowledge of IT governance and control frameworks such as COBIT.
- Experience with ITGCs, risk assessments, and compliance monitoring.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements (e.g., Sarbanes-Oxley Act, ISAE 3402).
- Proficiency in IT security principles, network security, and system controls.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively across departments.
- Proactive, responsible, and team-oriented mindset.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CISA, CIA) are a plus.
- Proficiency in both Polish and English.
