Gas Spot Trader (f/m/d)
Join Axpo as a Gas Spot Trader and play a key role in optimizing our European gas portfolio. You will be responsible for daily trading activities, identifying market opportunities, and ensuring a smooth nomination process. If you thrive in a fast-paced trading environment, this is your opportunity.
What you will do:
- Optimize the gas portfolio to maximize profitability.
- Trade across all markets where Axpo Bulgaria operates.
- Evaluate and monitor positions, identifying trading opportunities and risks.
- Ensure daily balance of WD/DA positions and secure gas flows through correct capacity booking.
- Collaborate with the operations team to ensure a smooth and accurate nomination process.
- Support back/mid-office and risk processes, ensuring compliance with internal and external standards.
What you bring & who you are:
- University degree in mathematics, computational science, engineering, finance, or economics.
- Minimum 2 years of professional experience in energy trading.
- Strong analytical skills and experience in risk assessment.
- Proficiency in MS Office tools and trading systems.
- Excellent English communication skills (spoken & written).
- Problem-solving mindset and ability to explain complex risks intuitively.
