Data and Analytics Engineer (f/m/d)

As a Data & Analytics Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in empowering teams across Axpo Trading and Sales to effectively utilize our Data and Analytics Ecosystem. You will be an integral part of a product team, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to drive the evolution of the Data and Analytics Framework and ensure seamless onboarding and optimal use of the frameworks.
What you will do:
- Contribute to the scalability, reliability, and efficiency of our Data and Analytics Framework to accommodate a larger audience within the organization.
- Engage and collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and translate them into scalable data solutions.
- Design, develop, and deploy data solutions end-to-end to support different activities in the Trading and Sales business area.
- Focus on data modelling and data pipelining, ensuring data quality, integrity, and operational robustness.
- Tune and monitor data storage, processing, and retrieval mechanisms for improved performance.
- Work together with international cross-functional data professionals within a data-dedicated environment.
What you bring & who you are:
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or other related technical field.
- Solid experience in data engineering, with a focus on designing and implementing data solutions in a cloud environment (preferably in Microsoft Azure).
- Strong experience with Databricks and Spark.
- Knowledge of data warehousing and data lake architectures.
- Good understanding of data pipeline orchestration patterns, such as event-driven architectures and streaming/batch-based data processing methods.
- Highly proficient in Python and query languages such as SQL.
- Familiar with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices, ensuring smooth and automated deployment of data solutions.
- Experience working in a collaborative environment using GitHub.
- Knowledge of Business Intelligence (BI) or data visualization tools such as Power BI.
- Fluent in English.
