Legal Counsel Data Protection (f/m)
Your Responsibilities:
- Ensure continuous compliance with GDPR and other data protection laws in coordination with external and group Data Protection Officers (DPOs).
- Act as the primary contact for internal teams on data processing and privacy-related matters.
- Manage and report data security incidents internally and externally.
- Conduct and support Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) and monitor their effectiveness.
- Work closely with IT and other stakeholders to align data security with privacy compliance.
- Maintain records of processing activities (ROPAs) and ensure transparency with supervisory authorities.
- Handle data subject requests and inquiries, ensuring proper documentation and compliance.
- Maintain GDPR registers, including those for data subject requests, disclosures, and incidents.
- Foster a data protection culture by implementing GDPR principles such as privacy by design and breach notifications.
- Conduct privacy training sessions as needed.
- Participate in risk assessments and audits.
- Act as the local data protection coordinator, liaising with the Group DPO on compliance, requests, and breaches.
- Develop and implement privacy policies, guidelines, and procedures in line with DPO’s guidance.
Our Requirements:
- Legal degree (or equivalent) and 3-5 years of experience in a similar role.
- Proactive approach to finding and implementing effective solutions.
- Ability to inspire efficiency, work independently, and collaborate across teams.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex privacy matters in simple terms and train others effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Interest in learning business operations, particularly in the energy sector.
- Fluent in Polish and English.
