We are seeking a Data Governance Specialist to enhance the organization’s ability to leverage data across trading, origination, and retail operations. Your primary goal will be to implement and maintain the Axpo data governance framework, ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and security of data to support strategic decision-making and regulatory compliance.
What you will do:
- Implement a comprehensive data governance framework aligned with the overall data strategy.
- Maintain and enforce data governance policies, standards, and procedures across all business units.
- Oversee data quality management, establish metrics, and monitor data quality.
- Collaborate with Data and Analytics (DnA) teams to integrate governance with data management strategies.
- Ensure compliance with data privacy, licensing, and regulatory requirements.
- Lead data stewardship programs to foster accountability and ownership of data quality.
What you bring & who you are:
- 3+ years of experience in Data Governance and Management, preferably in commodity trading or financial sectors.
- Strong knowledge of data governance principles, data quality standards, and regulatory frameworks (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, and data governance catalogs (Data Hub, Purview, Unity Catalog).
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to influence stakeholders.
- High adaptability, analytical mindset, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Fluent in English; Spanish or German is an advantage.
