Our team at Axpo supports the energy trading business with cutting-edge IT solutions for energy data management. We are in the midst of an exciting transformation driven by global trends, market shifts, and energy challenges. Our IT solutions must adapt to manage increased complexity, speed, and data volume. To strengthen our team, we are seeking a young, motivated individual to help elevate our Energy Data Management solutions to the next level.

This role is ideal for a talented junior application engineer or technical business analyst who wants to join the energy industry, is keen to learn, and will have a direct business impact.

What you will do:

• Join a dedicated team managing software applications related to Energy Data Management
• Engage in activities ranging from application maintenance and support to participating in projects and helping to specify the application strategy
• Maintain close communication with business stakeholders, gaining an end-to-end understanding of business processes and proposing technical solutions
• Demonstrate responsibility and teamwork in all your tasks

What you bring & who you are:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in IT, engineering, economics, or a related field
• First experience as an application engineer, technical business analyst, or a similar role
• Excellent analytical skills and a strong team player
• Interest in the energy sector and/or in trading
• Familiarity with Azure Cloud is an asset; willingness to develop yourself in this area is required
• Proficiency in both German and English

About the team: 

You will be part of a very dedicated team which takes responsibility for critical IT applications both short-term (operations) and long-term (projects). We collaborate very closely with business stakeholders, IT architects, infrastructure specialists, and vendors to get the most business value out of our IT applications.
