Tax and Accounting Manager (f/m/d)

As an Accounting and Tax Responsible at Axpo, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the financial stability and growth of our organization. You will oversee financial operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with regulatory requirements, efficient management of financial resources, and reporting to Axpo governance bodies. Your expertise will help drive our financial strategy and operational efficiency.
What you will do:
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements.
- Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes.
- Coordinate audits and liaise with external auditors.
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation of tax returns and statutory reporting.
- Coordinate with transfer pricing consultants for local file preparation.
- Oversee financial processes including invoicing, payments, and new products.
- Optimize processes to ensure smooth and consistent workflows.
What you bring & who you are:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- At least 6 years of proven experience in financial management (Accounting and Tax) in Portugal.
- Knowledge of financial reporting standards (IFRS) and local regulations.
- Knowledge of local tax regulations.
- Certified accountant (TOC) is a plus.
- Knowledge of Navision software is a plus.
- Experience in the Energy sector is a plus.
- Good communication skills for dealing with various stakeholders.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Structured and process-oriented mindset.
- Proficient in English.
