The AAD Senior Engineer position, which is part of our small Identity team, offers a wide range of technical challenges at the forefront of requirements engineering and technology development. In this role, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, prioritizing and implementing the technical changes and new demands as well as the EntraID and the legacy on-premise Active Directory environment. 

What you will do:

• Further development of the Microsoft EntraID and legacy AD Domain Services for the Business environment including security, availability, performance, interoperability, and reliability
• Developing solution proposals and decision-making based on the basis of the collected requirements.
• Creating the system-technical descriptions and overviews
• Development and maintenance of architecture and technology documentation.
• Alignment with architecture and engineers in the definition and specification
• Advising the business and business IT on IT projects.
• Supporting the migration of OnPrem infrastructures to the Microsoft 365 Cloud, like SharePoint, file services etc.
• Definition of the future-proof solution evolvement
• Operation and expansion of a reliable, secure, global identity/communication service infrastructure (AD, EntraID)
• Economic efficiency in development, purchasing, administration and operation.

What you bring & who you are:

• Strong expertise and knowledge in Microsoft EntraID and Active Directory (M365 as an advantage)
  
• High level of business orientation and support while maintaining security requirements and economic efficiency
  
• A related Microsoft certification was conducted (e.g. Identity and Access Administrator Associate, Azure Administrator Associate, Security Administrator Associate)
  
• Good sense for IT Security considerations in Microsoft Cloud Services, supporting a risk-based security approach by design.
  
• Good knowledge of identity and access management systems, good understanding of IAM standards such as OAuth2, SAML, OpenID, LDAP, Microsoft Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, authentication protocols
  
• You speak fluently English, German is a plus.
  
• Familiarity with Active Diroctory, EntraID, Windows Server, PowerShell.
  
• Development / Engineering skills, including infrastructure as code and deployment pipelines is a plus.
  
• Readiness for taking on call operation is a plus
