IT License Manager (f/m/d)
As the IT License Manager, you play a key role in establishing and operating a structured, transparent, and audit-ready license management frame-work with a focus on Kernenergie Informatik (KI). You ensure that software assets are used efficiently and compliantly, in alignment with contractual and regulatory requirements, while supporting the organization in mitigating operational, legal, and financial risks.
You provide a holistic overview of the license landscape, covering on‑premises, cloud, and SaaS environments, and translate complex licensing models into ac-tionable guidance for technical and business stakeholders. By proactively managing audits, optimizing license consumption, and supporting sourcing and vendor negotiations, you directly contribute to cost efficiency and business continuity.
You collaborate closely with Procurement, Finance, Service Management, and technical experts to embed license compliance and best practices into daily operations. You also support digitalization and automation initiatives by enabling reliable license data, transparent reporting, and continuous im-provement of software asset management processes.
Key Responsibilities
License Management:
Managing, controlling, and optimizing the software license inventory.
Monitoring compliance with license terms and contracts.
Analyzing and evaluating licensing models, including volume licensing agreements, SaaS, and subscription models.
Procurement & Negotiation:
Supporting software license procurement in collaboration with purchasing and technical departments.
Negotiating with software providers and licensors.
Audits & Reporting:
Planning and implementing license audits, including external audits.
Creating license reports, forecasts, and KPIs for management.
Stakeholder Support:
Advising internal stakeholders on licensing issues and best practices.
Developing and maintaining a license management tool or SAM system (Software Asset Management).
Profile
Degree in business informatics or a related technical/business field.
Expertise in software licensing (e.g., Microsoft, Adobe, Oracle, SAP).
Experience in contract law and SAM tools; knowledge of IT infrastructure.
Analytical thinker with process optimization and reporting skills.
Strong communicator, team player, and customer-oriented.
Interest in the nuclear industry; fluent in English, German is a plus.
