Data Engineer (f/m/d)

As a Data Engineer at Axpo, you will work on challenging and diverse data engineering tasks and projects with different stakeholders. The tasks and projects will help innovating our current processes and therefore support our employees and customers in meeting their daily challenges. The data you will be working with is very diverse, from technical to financial, from structured to unstructured, from static to real time.
What you will do
- Design, build, deploy and improve sustainable data pipelines and models
- Orchestrate and monitor
- Deploy and operate required data infrastructure such as SQL Servers, Azure Data Factory etc. on our Azure cloud
- Provide pragmatic solutions to improve and maintain data quality and visibility
- Collaborate with product managers and business stakeholders to build our data products
- Scout for new technologies and trends in the field of data engineering
- Share and exchange your know-how with others
What you bring & who you are:
- 2-4 years of experience in different fields of data engineering like data modeling, pipeline orchestration, IoT etc.
- Experienced in programming with SQL and Python using git and CI/CD
- Experienced in working in a cloud environment (preferably Azure)
- Experience with Azure Data Factory
- Experiences in other data engineering tools such as Azure Synapse or Apache Spark as well as IaC tools like terraform are a plus
- Fluent in German or English
- Team-minded, proactive mindset and a maker mentality with a good sense of humor
