Welcome to the land where data meets technology! In your role as Dataiku Platform Engineer, you will get to work first-hand with a diverse mix of energy- and trading professionals across Axpo’s different locations and business areas and help shape the future of energy. Building on your experience as a data-science ninja and your can-do attitude, you will counsel both new as well as experienced users on how they can best achieve their data project goals. In doing so, you won’t only be looking for creative ways to leverage the available platform services, but you will also have the opportunity to actively shape and expand these. Lastly, in addition to helping maintain & operate the platform on a daily basis, you will be closely involved in contributing to and executing the strategy to ensure the platform is well integrated in a comprehensive solution ecosystem.
What you will do
- Advise users on how they can leverage the available platform services to meet their data project needs and guide them throughout the implementation of their use cases
- Coach end users with the implementation of DevOps practices
- Help maintain & operate the platform, including version upgrades and the automation of tasks
- Administer the platform’s hybrid Cloud and on-premise infrastructure
- Develop core features to expand the platform’s services (e.g. data connectors, plug-in and API development, git integrations, etc.) and support embedding it in Axpo’s wider IT landscape
- Collaborate with diverse, cross-functional teams and domain experts to ensure the platform is embedded in a comprehensive solution ecosystem
Who you are & what you bring
- You’re curious and self-motivated, not afraid to take initiative and challenge the status-quo. In doing so, you have a proven track-record of fostering innovation.
- Being a hands-on problem solver, complex problem analysis and solution-design thinking are among your core strengths.
- You are able to adapt to, manage and influence a variety of business & IT stakeholders.
- You are a strong communicator, capable of explaining technology to a non-technical audience.
- A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, in any other quantitative subject or similar
- Proven track record (3-5+ years) with developing in Python or similar
- 2+ years hands-on experience in Dataiku, Alteryx, Rapidminer or similar data science solutions (e.g. AWS Sagemaker, Azure Databricks, ..)
- Preferred: Solid practical experience with DevOps
- Preferred: proven experience with development in the Cloud and using Kubernetes
- Preferred: knowledge of IT security practices
- Preferred: prior experience in the energy or trading industry
